Committees

Quality Care Partners is governed by a Board of Directors elected by our membership. The Board is comprised of representatives from our physician and hospital membership, our community.

Operating under the direction of the Board of Directors, QCP currently has 3 working committees. Committee representation consists of member physicians, hospital representatives and ancillary provider representation, when appropriate. Quality Management
The focus of this Committee's work is to focus on maintaining and improving the quality of care received. Along with developing and reviewing medical review criteria and reviewing patient utilization and care issues, this Committee is also responsible for recommending both new providers and providers up for re-credential to the Board of Directors for approval. Also under the scope of this Committee is the development and maintenance of our disease management programs.

Pharmacy and Therapeutics
Operating as a sub-committee of Quality Management, the focus of this committee is to develop and review criteria for medication authorization and recommendations on formulary changes. This committee reviews the employers’ pharmacy utilization and advises them on benefit re-design where appropriate.

Contract
This Committee is focused on the critical function of reviewing the terms and conditions of proposed contracts from third party administrators and health plans for recommendation to the Board for approval. This committee also gives input to the Board of Directors on network expansion and contracting as well as a role in determining fee schedules and establishing quality and utilization incentives.
